Frodo's Bio

Find out all there is to know about young Mr Baggins... well, nearly all...

Okay, on here, I'll put a simple bio, and a bit more personality stuff etc.

Full name: Frodo Baggins
Age: 33 (coming of age)... well, at least in the film. In the book he's in his bloody fifties!
Home: Bag End, Hobbiton

Family: Parents drowned when he was small, so he lives with his elderly cousin, Bilbo Baggins. Yes, I know he's his uncle in the film, but in the book, he's his elderly cousin. He is also realated to Merry and Pippin somehow. According to Pippin after he's ahd a bit too much ale, he's his "second cousin, once removed on his mother's side..."

Best friends: In the book, Merry and Pippin are his closest friends before his adventure starts. Sam is more like... a person known all his life. They just grow closer as the journey goes on.

Frodo is considered a strange hobbit. Other hobbits always thought the Bagginses were odd. Frodo's guardian explored out of the Shire, something quite unheard of before, and Frodo was eager to do the same. But when the chance came, it wasn't really a chance, but a duty that he had to fulfill, and he didn't want to. Bilbo thought that Frodo would come along when he set off for the second time if he asked him, but he was "still in love with the Shire", and it appears he was right. Frodo is willing to leave his adventure when the first oppurtunity comes, but this is snatched away... he ends up with a group of guys, hobbits, and a wizard, and elf, and a dwarf protecting him... like you do... (okay, I tired to make this a serious bio, but I'm no good, so sue me!)

Frodo shows extrodinary bravery, even when he manges to get himself nearly trampled by Nazgul horses, tripped over in a puddle of ale, stabbed by a Morgul blade, dropped on by a mountain, nearly eaten by a many-tentacled lake monster, skewered by a cave troll's tridant, stuck on a broken and very high bunch of waving steps, tortured by visions of the future if he fails on his quest (it's like, oh, so no pressure, then), attacked by a ring-crazed man of Gondor... any others you can think of?

As you will notice, this only contains info from the Fellowship of the Ring. That's because, a) I haven't got to reading the Two Towers.. haven't finished FOTR, either... and b) I've been on some bios etc. where they go on about what happens to them all thoughout the entire trilogy, and I'm like, "No, aaah, spoilers!", which I don't bloody want... the same will be in my Sam, Merry and Pippin bios...

ANYway... hope this has been informative for you!
