Right, I apologise, but I have not yet sat in front of the TV with a pen and paper in hand, watching Lord of the Rings and noting down anything humourous. I also apologise to tell you my shameful secret, I haven't actually read the book yet! Believe me, this is not like me... I will read it soon, I promise!
Anyway, for the moment, these are just film quotes from the top of my head. If I have missed any, do feel free to yell about them on the message board.
The quotes are in no particular order...
"I haven't been droppin no eaves, sir!" - Sam
"I don't know what he's so worked up about! We only took a few carrots -"
"And those potatoes the other day.. and those mushrooms last week... and that corn the week before!"
"Yes, Pippin. My point is, he's clearly over-reacting!" - Merry and Pippin (sorry if that's not exactly what he said... you get my drift though, right?)
"What's that?"
"This, my friend, is a pint!"
"It comes in pints?"
"Mmm.."
"I'm getting one!" - Merry and Pippin (again)
"Come on. We've got to get moving."
"What about breakfast?"
"We've already had it."
"We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?"
(Sigh and shake of head from The Ranger)
"I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pippin."
"What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about those, doesn't he?"
"I wouldn't count on it.." - Merry, Pippin (again?!), and a dash or Taragon (Kidding!) I of course mean Aragorn.
